The Delaney Chevrolet Westsylvania Jazz and Blues Festival continues today with free concerts throughout the day at IRMC Park in Downtown Indiana.
The music will start at 11:00 with a performance by the Indiana Junior High Jazz Band, followed by the Apollo-Ridge High School Jazz Landers at 11:45. At 12:45, the John Bagnato String Trio takes the stage with guest artist Tim Wetmiller. Jared Sims will perform at 2:00 and Gabe Stillman will start at 3:30.
At 5:30 is the Jazz Headliner, Howie Alexander, who comes through the August Wilson Center and the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival. David Ferguson with the Westsylvania Jazz and Blues Festival says he comes with some good credentials.
The blues headliner, John Nemeth, comes to the mic at 7:30. He was recently voted the best male soul/blues singer at the Blues Music Awards, and Ferguson predicts his star in the music world will rise fast.
After the official slate of entertainment is over, there will be an after-hours performance at Josephine’s featuring Ferguson and other local musicians.
