Cat Country Morning Show with Andy Hart
Weekdays 6AM-9AM
Andy Hart is your host for the Cat Country 106.3 FM Morning Show, with all of Today’s Best Country, along with contests, news breaks, stand-up comedy cuts, a segment he calls “Last Night in Late Night” and more!
Andy has an extensive background and has always had a passion and a love for radio and DJ’ing in general. He began his DJ career in 1992 at the age of 15 when he was hired to DJ under 21 dances at the Marion Center Park Hall. Following high school, he tried to do anything to get into radio, and low and behold he was hired by two non-competing radio stations on the same day in 1994 and was able to work it out where he worked in both towns on a part-time basis. One of those stations was AM-1450 WDAD and the other was AM-1540/FM 104.1 WPXZ, which are now both Renda stations. He also worked at WKVE in St. Mary’s and WXVE in Spangler, now Northern Cambria. In the late 1990’s, Andy came back to Indiana and did afternoons on WDAD and eventually mornings on the 92.5 WQMU. Andy has now been doing mornings on Cat Country 106.3 since 2011.
The Cat Country Morning Show features…
Jake Slebodnick
Weekdays 3 - 7 PM
Jake Slebodnick returns to Cat Country to take you through your afternoon work commute with giveaways, interesting news stories and plenty of Today’s Best Country.
Jake first joined Renda Media in 2019 as a part-time studio engineer, but quickly joined the on-air team as a news reporter and the voice of Indiana High School football for the 2020 season. Following the retirement of Chuck Clark, Jake joined the Cat Country team while remaining a part of Renda Media’s news team. He recently spent time as the Multimedia Coordinator at Saint Francis University in Loretto directing NEC Front Row live-streams and calling play-by-play for Red Flash field hockey and softball. He, then, found his way back to Indiana in May 2022.
Jake grew to love country music after playing the role as young Johnny Cash in Cresson Lake Playhouse’s rendition of “Ring of Fire” in 2017. While Jake brings you Today’s Best Country, he can often be found listening to traditional country artists such as Cash, Patsy Cline and Conway Twitty.
Jake would find his passion for radio during his freshman year of college, after he was brought on as a late-night DJ at WIUP-FM – the campus radio station at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). While at IUP, Jake worked with Seven Mountains Media in DuBois, where he spent a year as a weekend DJ for Passport Radio (WCPA-FM) and a sports broadcaster for DuBois High School football.
