A nearby state park has recently taken top honors as one of the best places to watch fall foliage in the United States.
USA Today put Keystone State Park as the top destination for fall foliage in its 2023 Readers’ Choice survey. The article mentioned that the park is “perfect for discovering the abundant beauty of Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands.” They also say that the Lakeside Loop two-mile hiking trail has a lot of pristine forest area to explore.
While the state department of Conservation and Natural Resources has not yet issued a fall foliage report for this year, smokeymountains.com predicts that Western Pennsylvania will be in peak fall foliage colors the weeks of October 16th and 23rd.
