Senator Joe Pittman says the public comment period for PennDOT’s 2045 Freight Movement Plan ends this Wednesday. The plan provides information on the steps to improve the safety and efficiency of moving freight statewide. An electronic comment form is available from PennDOT.

Senator Pittman also says that local municipalities, district attorneys, counties, community-based organizations and institutions of higher education can apply now for Violence Intervention and Prevention funding under two grant programs. The deadline to apply is October 31st.
