The semifinals are finally set for the Heritage Conference’s Road to the KCAC (presented by First Commonwealth Bank) after a frantic Saturday of games.
River Valley’s girls wiped out West Shamokin, 60-22, to clinch the second spot in the Western Division, edging out United, which earlier had beaten Homer-Center, 57-52. Purchase Line topped Marion Center to clinch the second spot in the East, 65-60.
The semifinal matchups on Tuesday will be Homer-Center hosting Purchase Line (WCCS 101.1 FM & 1160 AM), while River Valley visits Penns Manor (WLCY 106.3 FM).
In boys play yesterday, United downed Cambria Heights, 43-36, to clinch the top spot in the West. West Shamokin blasted Purchase Line, 65-30, and will be the second team out of the West.
The boys’ semifinals on Monday night will feature United playing host to Cambria Heights (WCCS 101.1 FM & 1160 AM) in a rematch of yesterday’s game, and West Shamokin visiting Penns Manor (WLCY 106.3 FM).
