Two fire departments were called out for a brush fire Tuesday evening in Rayne Township.
The fire was reported at 7:47 PM, with Marion Center Volunteer Fire Department initially dispatched. Clymer Volunteer Fire Department was called in close to 15 minutes later to assist on-scene.
The brush fire was reported at 855 Skyline Drive in Rayne Township. The fire damaged a 150 by 150 foot area. The cause is not known at this time, but State Police fire marshals have not been called in to investigate. This marks the 70th brush fire in the county for 2021.

Indiana Fire Association had to deal with a transformer on fire around 9:00 PM Tuesday. Indiana County 911 reports that Company Two was dispatched for the transformer on Water Street in the borough. The fire caused a power outage for the surrounding area.
And Blairsville and Black Lick fire crews were called out at 5:00 PM to assist at the scene of a multiple vehicle collision on a portion of Route 22 in Burrell Township. State Police and Citizens’ Ambulance were also called to the scene. Police have not yet issued a report on the accident.
