Teddy Bear Fund Drive DONATION WEEK was the week of Monday, December 13th through Friday, December 17th. We once again was broadcasting from the windows of the 700 Shop in downtown Indiana from 8 AM to 5 PM, joined by a group of volunteers who will accepted donations to our 43rd Annual Teddy Bear Fund Drive. We are thrilled to announce that the total donated for the week was $88,176.09.

Hutton Blews Three-for-Three:
Hutton-Blews will once again donate $3 to the Teddy Bear Fund Drive for every three pointer made by Indiana County high school basketball teams in the 2023-24 season. We’ll announce this year’s winners soon.

ABOUT THE TEDDY BEAR FUND DRIVE
Renda Broadcasting of Indiana and its affiliated stations including WCCS FM 101.1 and AM 1160, WDAD FM 100.3 and AM 1450, Cat Country 106.3, and U92.5 FM proudly sponsor the Teddy Bear Fund Drive. For the past 45 years, the Teddy Bear Fund Drive has benefited the Pediatrics Unit at Indiana Regional Medical Center and the Free Care Fund at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Renda Broadcasting of Indiana, as part of our “Community Teammates” initiative, developed four teams of employees and organized numerous fundraisers during last year’s campaign. “Our employees played a bigger role than ever before,” stated Mark Bertig, Vice President and Regional Manager for the company. “I would like to thank our employees for recognizing the importance of the Teddy Bear Fund Drive and volunteering their time outside of the workplace and normal working hours,” said Mark. “It is important to give back and I’m extremely proud of our entire staff.” In addition to many fundraisers from station personnel, traditionally Indiana County schools play the largest role in making the fund drive a success. “The involvement of our local schools is vitally important,” added Bertig. “You can see the pride when the children bring in their donations. “Children need quality healthcare all year long. I encourage families, businesses, social organizations and individuals to aid in this effort whenever possible.” |
