Seven people were hurt in a head-on collision on Route 711 in Ligonier Township Monday morning.
The crash happened around 8:00 AM and involved a Porsche driven by 18-year-old Colin Keough of Latrobe and a Chevy Suburban driven by 34-year-old Amy Blythe of Ligonier. Authorities say the sports car crossed the center line and hit the SUV just north of the Mutual Aid Ambulance Station.
An ambulance crew was at the station, so they were able to get out and render aid immediately. Keough, who was listed in serious condition, was airlifted from the scene, along with a child in Blythe’s car who was in stable condition. Blythe and the four other children were taken to the hospital by ambulance, and they were all in stable condition.
The road was closed for a few hours as investigators reconstructed the crash scene.
