Three brush fires have been reported in Indiana County over the last 24 hours, bringing the total up to 49 for the year so far.
The first was reported at 8:42 PM along Evergreen Road in South Green Township. Commodore fire department was dispatched at the time.
The second was in South Mahoning Township along Wolf Road at 9:14. Plumville fire department was initially dispatched, but Marion Center was called to the scene shortly after that. Creekside fire department was called in to standby for Creekside fire departments.
The third brush fire was on Chestnut Ridge Road in Cherryhill Township at 1:31 this morning. Cherryhill Township Fire Department was dispatched to assist.
Details on the brush fires have not been released.
Along with the three brush fires, there were three vehicle accidents yesterday.
Two of them were reported to Indiana County 911 simultaneously at 10:59 AM. One of them was a three-vehicle crash on Wayne Avenue near the intersection with Old 119. Three people were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The other crash was along Route 22 East in East Wheatfield Township. Clyde and Armagh Fire Departments, Citizens Ambulance and State Police were called out.
The third was at 12:08 PM along Route 119 south in Homer City Borough. Homer City firefighters were dispatched at the time.
