Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and this year, the federal holiday coincides with the inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the United States. There are some closures in effect this morning.
All federal, state and county government offices are closed for the day, including PA Drivers License Centers. State liquor stores will be open today. Many banks are closed today, but will still offer service through their websites, apps and ATMs.
There will be no regular mail delivery today and post offices will be closed.
Most of the schools in the ARIN intermediate unit are working on an in-service day today, so that means for many students, today is a day off. ICTC is open as normal and River Valley School District will have a remote learning day today.
