Men’s golf coach Dan Braun has announced IUP’s spring schedule, and it will start on March 15th in South Carolina.
The Crimson hawks will return to Pennsylvania to open the PSAC schedule at California on the 22nd. The spring schedule includes five traditional invitationals, four of which lead up to the 2021 PSAC Championships April 10th and 11th at the Hershey Country Club in Hershey, Pa.
IUP’s Cecil C. Spadafora Invitational returns this spring after a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The 57th edition is scheduled for April 19th – 20th at the Indiana Country Club.
The NCAA Atlantic/East Region Championships are scheduled for May 6-8 in North East, Pennsylvania, with the 2021 NCAA Division II Championships set for May 17-21 in West Palm Beach.
Braun and the Crimson Hawks are looking to bounce back after a season cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic as they retain every impactful golfer from last year’s team. Notable golfers include last year’s PSAC Golfer and Freshman of the Year Shaun Fedor, along with former All-Atlantic Region and All-PSAC selections Jeremy Eckenrode, Jack Buccigross and Nick Ward.
The Crimson Hawks ended the 2019-20 season as the No. 1-ranked team in the Atlantic Region and are receiving votes in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek national poll.
